An Introduction To LipoTypes — by Dr. Norman Easley

The term Lipotype refers to a specific group of physiological processes (body functions) responsible for managing carbohydrates and fats for energy production. Each LipoType is characterized by a set of symptoms. These symptoms are generated by a specific organ or endocrine gland and form unique patterns. Physiological Patterns serve to enable identification of the body part creating the Lipotype. Once the Lipotype is known, it can be treated with the proper diet and nutrients allowing a comfortable reduction in weight along with the associated symptoms. All forms of weight gain are the direct result of a Lipotype disorder.

What foods are eaten, what is craved, the effects that food have and the amount of food required are all determined by the LipoType. We are not in control. Our bodies are in control. If a specific Lipotype causes the energy to drop, we are going to need blood sugar. What form of dietary carbohydrate (sugar) needed is also determined by the Lipotype. The Lipotype disorder must be satisfied. Preferring either candy, chips, chocolate, fruit juice, dried fruit, noodles, cookies, fruit or even caffeine or alcohol is the direct result of a Lipotype physiological expression. Will power and discipline are not the answer to becoming healthy and losing weight. Normalizing the Lipotype is the answer. To solve the battle of the bulge we need to understand the concept of Lipotypes. We need to know which ones apply to our own unique conditions. We need to know how to identify when they are active so we can apply the necessary treatments. This puts us in control without effort.

Where do Lipotypes originate? Most of our physiology is genetic in origin. Some genetic patterns are acquired through exposure to harsh chemicals or toxins, infections, or traumas. The bottom line is that we are programmed from birth much like a computer to have body functions and dysfunctions. These physiological activities are responsible for our level of health, our behavior, our reactions to stress, our perception of stress and our emotional-psychological nature. Genetic or hereditary programming is the link to understanding the course of our health. If we could analyze our own DNA at the time of birth, we could tell exactly what dysfunction’s are present and what diseases will develop during our lifetimes. Medically, this is possible, but not practical. We can attempt to monitor our health with physical exams and laboratory evaluations but too often the findings are normal even when we are suffering with symptoms. There is a natural way of determining what the primary hereditary weaknesses are and what Lipotypes apply. All we must do is identify the primary pattern of symptoms.

In Chinese medicine, there is a saying, “Symptoms are the signposts to disease.” When the physiology of a specific body component is disturbed, it will create a unique set of symptoms. All symptoms are a direct expression of the organ dysfunction and occur years or even decades before a serious condition can be diagnosed through conventional methods. For example, the liver causes unusual fullness after meals, a gall bladder disorder causes nausea, a weak spleen will cause morning allergies, deficient estrogen’s will make a woman overly sensitive and feel unappreciated, and a weak adrenal will cause morning fatigue. There are literally thousands of identifiable symptoms that can be directly associated with a specific body component.

Every body component produces its own identifying physical, emotional and psychological symptoms. For example, one of the many functions of the pancreas is to release a hormone that raises blood sugar between meals or when stressed. If it is unable to perform this function a type of hypoglycemia develops which is aggravated by going more than an hour or so without eating. Not eating on time causes the blood sugar to drop producing symptoms of weakness, fatigue, dizziness, difficulty staying focused and mental confusion. Waves of anxiety can develop in the afternoon and early morning for no reason. Wanting sweets after meals and especially in the evening seem to help. These symptoms are unique to this type of pancreas hypoglycemia and can only be produced by this dysfunction. Taking the correct nutrients will eventually normalize this condition. For all the Physiological Patterns of symptoms there is a root cause in the body which can be effectively treated with the proper nutrients. Taking these nutrients assists the body in healing the condition putting us in control of our physiology. Ultimately, taking charge of our Lipotypes enables optimum health, normal weight without effort and is the ideal technique for preventing a more serious condition from developing.

Identify the Lipotype. Learn to associate the symptoms of the Lipotype. Take the necessary Lipoformulas to normalize the diet and assist the Lipotype in healing. Take charge of your health process and practice the Art of Prevention so you have the ability in life to become all that you have the potential to become.
